You may choose to get immunised at your doctor, participating community pharmacy, community immunisation clinic or Aboriginal Medical Service.

Getting immunised can be overwhelming for some people, so it is important to be kind to each other.

During immunisation

  • You may feel a small prick or a sting when you receive your immunisation or you may feel nothing at all.

After immunisation

  • Most vaccines can cause mild side effects. These should be explained to you by your immunisation provider.
  • Side effects after immunisation are usually mild and short lasting and do not need special treatment.
