Referrals
All referrals for Ambulatory Surgery Initiative (ASI) endoscopy services must be made from your general practitioner (GP) to the Department of Health’s Central Referral Service (external site).
For other specialties, referrals must be directed to the Consultant Specialist (VMP) accredited at the Bentley Health Service.
Preparing for surgery
All patients booked for elective surgery will be assessed by a nurse in the Pre-admission Clinic prior to surgery. This allows us to identify any risk factors before your surgery and ensure that we can minimise the risk of any complications during or following your procedure.
We may also arrange for you to see an anaesthetist before your operation if necessary.
Other medical procedures
The following medical procedures can also be provided at the Bentley Health Service:
- electro convulsive therapy (ECT)
- podiatry.
