Antenatal Clinics

Since the closure of Bentley Health Service (BHS) maternity services in 2020, Armadale Health Service (AHS) and King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH) have been taking referrals for maternity patients from BHS catchment postcodes and suburbs.

To bring antenatal care closer to home for some patients, AHS is now operating a satellite clinic on the BHS site. Visit the Antenatal Care page to learn more about these services.

Please direct concerns arising between clinic appointments about patients receiving antenatal care at BHS to the AHS Maternity Services.

At this stage, referrals from BHS postcodes that have been directed to KEMH since the closure in 2020 will need to continue to be sent to KEMH and will not be able to receive antenatal care at BHS.

Referrals

For maternity patients from the below catchments, please follow the referral process is outlined on the AHS Antenatal Care page.

  • 6105-6106 catchment (Welshpool, Cloverdale, Kewdale and Perth Airport)
  • 6107 (Cannington, East Cannington, Queens Park and Wilson)
  • 6147 (Lynwood and Parkwood)

Maternity patients from all other BHS postcodes/suburbs need to be referred directly to KEMH. For further information, please see KEMH Antenatal Referrals page.

Bentley Maternity Ward remains closed

Please note: the BHS birthing ward remains closed at this time and women who receive their antenatal care at the BHS antenatal clinic will birth at AHS.
