Private Patients
Bentley Health Service (BHS) strives to provide a high standard of treatment and care to every patient. Patients with private health insurance have the choice to be treated as either a public or private patient.
All patients receive the same quality of service and range of services at BHS regardless of health cover. However, there are additional benefits for patients who choose to use their private health insurance. These benefits include:
- Choice of specialist doctor where possible
- television rental where available
- newspapers (Monday to Friday)
- toiletries pack on admission (includes tissues, shampoo and conditioner, shower cap, vanity set, soap, toothbrush & toothpaste)
- notepad and pen.
A private patient with appropriate hospital cover will have no out of pocket expenses for their hospital accommodation. Any gap payments that may occur from radiology or pathology are currently covered by Bentley Health Service.
Doctors
Your Consultant and his team will provide medical care at no out of pocket expense. For day surgery and elective surgery, private practitioners and anaesthetists will discuss any extra cost prior to admission.
Private room
As a private patient, you can request a private room. However, priority is given to patients according to medically-assessed requirements.
Our hospital
Using your private health insurance greatly benefits our hospital. The money received assists BHS to buy additional equipment, helps to maintain facilities and continue to provide a quality health service for all patients.
