Last week, the East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS) Board took an insightful tour and experienced a behind-the-scenes look at Bentley Health Service (BHS).

Board Chair Pia Turcinov AM, along with Board Members Ross Keesing, Peter Forbes, Tracey Moroney OAM, and Vanessa Elliott AM, visited key areas such as the Allied Health therapy gym, the Day Surgery Unit, and the plant rooms across the site.

Pia Turcinov AM emphasised the importance of seeing how things work on the ground and engaging directly with staff to understand their experiences and feedback. This hands-on approach exemplifies our commitment to EMHS values: Kindness, Excellence, Respect, Integrity, Collaboration, and Accountability.

Our board visits are not just social exercises; they are integral to how we engage with staff and gain insights to continually strive for excellence. The board is committed to visiting all EMHS sites to see our values in action and ensure we are meeting the highest standards of care.

Check out the video link to hear more about our visit and see our values in action!
