Antenatal Care

An antenatal clinic has been re-established at Bentley Health Service (BHS) bringing antenatal care closer to home for some women living in the Bentley catchment. However, please note, that this clinic will only be able to accommodate women from certain postcodes with pregnancies that do not have any identified high-risk factors.

Whilst every effort will be made to ensure that all antenatal care is provided in the one location, some specialist antenatal appointments will continue to only be offered at Armadale Health Service (AHS). The referral process is outlined on the AHS Antenatal Care page.

Antenatal Assessment Unit

If you have concerns about your pregnancy and need to speak to a midwife outside of your appointment time, please contact the Armadale Antenatal Assessment Unit on (08) 9391 2947. You can contact this phone number at any time, day or night, to speak with a midwife who will let you know the best course of action, which may mean visiting AHS for an assessment.

Please note: there is no emergency department onsite at BHS. In the event of an emergency you will need to present to your nearest emergency department.

Bentley Maternity Ward remains closed

It is important to note that the BHS Maternity Unit remains closed at this time and therefore anyone who receives antenatal care at Bentley will birth at Armadale Health Service.

Please do not present to BHS if you think you are in labour. If you think you are in labour, please call the Antenatal Assessment Unit on (08) 9391 2947 to speak to a midwife.

Please visit the AHS Maternity Services page for more information.
